Upgrading from Licenses & Contracts
The old EDD plugin (beatstore-license-contracts-edd) and the Woo sibling are replaced by one zip: beatstore-contracts.
You do not need a new Freemius purchase if you already paid for:
| You bought | Freemius id | Still unlocks 4.x Contracts |
|---|---|---|
| Licenses & Contracts for EDD | 13660 | Yes |
| Licenses & Contracts for WooCommerce | 9802 | Yes |
A BeatStore Player (7814) key does not unlock PDFs.
Switch
- Download
beatstore-contractsand upload it. - Activate. Paste the existing key from the customer portal if Freemius asks again (new plugin file).
- Deactivate the old Licenses & Contracts plugin so two writers do not hit the same purchase.
- Confirm templates under BeatStore → Contracts (or Contracts without the player).
On activate (and again from Re-run migration):
- Old license rows copy into
{prefix}beatstore_contract_templates - Offer maps copy from leftover post meta (
edd_beatstore_license, Woo variation meta, name-match onpa_license) - Producer name / address options copy into
beatstore_contracts_settings
Leftover tables are not dropped. Existing PDFs in agreement-pdfs/ stay. New files go under uploads/beatstore-contracts/private/.
After 4.x player
Install BeatStore 4.x when you want the 4.x player. Contracts then listens on beatstore_order_line_fulfilled instead of native EDD/Woo hooks. Same templates and maps.
What changed from the old docs
The old Licenses screens could bulk-update EDD/Woo prices. 4.x does not. Set amounts on the download or product. Contracts only stores the legal HTML and the map onto those offers.
