Multiple Players & Playlists on Your Beat Store

Want a beat storefront on one page and a different catalog on another—kits, featured drops, or your own musical releases?

BeatStore supports that today. You build playlists, then embed separate players on different pages. Same WordPress shop and checkout. Different curated track lists.

What playlists are for

A playlist is a named, ordered subset of your Easy Digital Downloads downloads or WooCommerce products. Common setups:

  • Beats on the home or /beats page
  • Kits / loops on a kits page
  • Your own releases on a music or discography page
  • Genre or mood collections (boom bap, trap, chill) when you want a focused landing page

Playlists are not sellable products. They only decide which tracks that player instance starts with.

How to set it up (4.x)

  1. Add or edit products as usual (preview, licenses, files).
  2. Go to BeatStore → Playlists, create a playlist, and add the tracks in the order you want.
  3. Create a WordPress page for each use case.
  4. Embed that playlist on the page—pick one method:

Shortcode

[beatstore playlist="12"]

Replace 12 with the playlist post ID. Optional filters still work, for example [beatstore playlist="12" kind="kit"].

Block Editor

Insert the BeatStore Player block and choose the playlist (and kind, if you want) in the sidebar.

Place Player

Open BeatStore → Place Player, pick the playlist, then copy the shortcode or the off-site iframe URL.

Off-site embeds use the same ID:

https://yoursite.com/beatstore-embed/?playlist=12

Docs: Playlists & order · Player shortcode & embeds · Block Editor & Elementor.

What stays shared

Multiple playlists do not create two separate stores. You still get:

  • One EDD or WooCommerce catalog and checkout
  • One player look (theme, accent, producer name from BeatStore → Settings)
  • Buy / cart on every track that has offers (there is no “listen only” flag yet)

If a release is for sale, price it like any other product. If you only want to showcase it, that is a different product need—playlists alone do not hide Buy.

Tip: catalog types vs playlists

Catalog types (Beat / Kit, or labels you add under Settings → Catalog types) are filter buttons inside the player. Playlists are curated lists you pin to a page. Use both when it helps: a releases playlist on /music, and kind filters inside the main beat store.

Bottom line

Yes—you can run separate players for different purposes. Create the playlists, embed each on its page, and keep selling from the store you own.
